Your first ingredient for success is to find a cooperative and committed teacher. Discuss with them how committed they are to the coaching relationship. Take the time to get acquainted, ask them about their other commitments for the year. This is a crucial beginning for a successful coaching experience. The relationship you forge in the beginning of the coaching experience sets the tone. This should be looked at as a partnership. The next important ingredient that is crucial to success is a time commitment from both partners. We all are aware that everyone has too many commitments, coaching needs to be a top priority. Throughout the year illness, conflicting schedules, snow days, and other roadblocks will get in the way, but life goes on. Don't let it ruin your recipe for success.

Don't be afraid when you are a coach to ask for help from your project facilitators for any training, support and encouragement. We asked for help with iMovie, Gaggle.net, Smart Board, Document Camera, iPhoto, and IDEAL login. The help we received was icing on the cake.
